Path to sustainable development (My success story)

One of the best things that could ever happen to a man is being in a position of adding values to people and encourage them to do the same and make the process sustainable.

The web 2.0 and social media training for development is actually for development, it’s not the training that only impress me but also how the training was delivered and also what I am accomplishing after the training, the various skills and abilities in me was provoked out to start being effective without measures for the purpose of my personal, organizational and community development and I found it to be amazing and mind blowing.

Before the training, I had failed on different occasions trying to get my grievances, concerns and opinions regarding my community on paper then to the virtual world using Web applications such as Blogger. My orientation changed during the training and I got to understand that sustainable development in my community, family, office and country starts from me and how passionate I am to use the various skills and resources at my disposal depends on the future I desire for my family, organization, community and country. I am beginning to make the best use of myself to help develop my community and make it a place where sustainable growth will be enjoyed.

My blog is now enjoying at least 500 unique page views monthly and also enjoys at least 30 unique blog views daily thanks to CTA for the web 2.0 and social media training.  I am beginning to write, address issues affecting agriculture, education, social media and development and this have stirred up interest of people who visit my blog and I got encouraging feedback that gives me a sense of fulfillment and a strong desire to do more.

Now, my motive to embark on any project directly or indirectly is to impact and bring sustainable development to my community, if after analysing the project(s) and it have elements of development I will fully commit myself to the course. I am beginning to train students, farmers and my colleagues on one on one occasion regarding the benefit of social media and how it could help addresses concurrent issues facing the Nigerian economy, education, agriculture, community growth and other issues. It brings me much joy because others being trained are beginning to train other people and using their skills for the better course of the society thereby promoting value chain development.

I have no doubt within me that the web 2.0 and social media training is a life changing workshop that have the ingredients to impact and bring about change to anybody who desire to grow and be a force to reckon with in the society.
Thanks to CTA for making me better, more productive and more distinct in my entire endeavor.
